Lots of coins today...and silver!

I had a couple of hours to kill today while waiting on a delivery for work, so I decided to detect my friend's girlfriend's yard. She told me a while ago that I could detect it anytime. The house is 100 years old, but I didn't find anything earlier than 1937. It was a pretty good time, except the neighbours on both sides had a bunch of dogs barking at me. It was funny because it seemed whenever the dog owners came out to see what the hell all the barking was about, I just happened to be on my knees pulling up another coin, and the owners couldn't see me. The dogs finally shut up and mellowed out.

It was nice to find silver coins #40 and #41 for the season. I was shooting for 40...looks like I have a few weeks of hunting left before winter happens, so maybe I'll shoot for 50 silver coins. Anyway I thought I'd share my pics.

Happy hunting everybody.

Nice silver . Congrats on all the coins.:clapping:
I have the same problem with dogs I don't think
they like a waving detector looks to much
like your swinging a stick.
The sound , unless your wareing headphones
will drive them nuts !

[size=large]i believe the dogs can hear the sounds regardless of earphones. they can hear the bearings in a bicyles wheels from inside a house. the guy on the bike can't even hear that. that is funny about playing peek-a-boo with the neighbors. where are you and when does your winter set in?

Oh you Canuks have it made...I do not know how you stand being weighted down by those loonies and toonies, but it sure makes for some great detecting...
Nice Silver also

HH,

Widebody, I don't ever remember a Halloween without snow, so it's coming soon. Usually the worst part is from the end of October to the end of April. I live North of North Dakota lol.

Nice "37" nickel. It'spretty scarce ........and of course congrats on some more silver coins. Keep them coming.

Holy smokes John! Thanks for bringing that nickel to my attention (I think you meant the 193:geek:. I didn't realize it was a key date for the series, and I would grade it F to VF. I love this hobby, full of surprises!
