Lots and lots of cold wind!

This morning, me and Luke decided that ancient beaches were today's objective. No mather the minus 3 degrees and super strong winds... the call for detecting was too strong. First stop was a beach i didn't do since august i think, but luke had returned there and had a few signals.
The strong winds have this good side... it moves the sand a lot and signals were plenty.

I really wasn't sure how the day would turn as i walked in the water. I must have made 30 foot and got my first signal... a good tone... Sure enauph... I was really glad to see that yellow color in my scoop! WOW ! 30 seconds and already a gold ring! Luke had started yet, he was still putting his gears on.

Only problem... that would be the only gold of the day for us :(

After braving the waves that sent icy water in the face, we decided that we should try an other beach, on the other side witch should be less windy. So we left the place after an hour or so... i already had one gold ring, a small silver ring and a silver dime... so i didn't cared mutch where we'd spend the rest of the day.

Second stop was mutch calmer... both for weather...and finds. Nope, we wouldn't waist a whole day there. It was already noon, so we took our lunches and ate while driving to the next objective. We simply went where luke had lost his small model airplane last week... mission recovery!!!

Boy, if we complained about the wind and waves at the first beach, we were facing even worst conditions!!! Okay, the temperature was now zero farenheit... or one or two degrees higher, but the beach was exposed to the winds and since the river is mutch larger there... the waves were mutch higher! Not to the point you would loose your position, but enauph to bother you a lot!

But we braved the weather and stayed there a good two hours and an half. Signals were pretty scarces... but i did managed 3 silver quarters, a nice Davy Croket ring, a military button and some other gizmos like those huge old sunglasses !

Today's results :
