Had a slow day...Found the fake Lord of the Rings ring in a tot lot...Headed to an old park that has given well-but she's getting a bit stingy after 3 years I've been working the park.
I found this very small-old-campaign pin at the end of the day. And how it survived at all is a wonder. Closest example was 1936 but this has a diagonal red/blue combo as the one in a collection shows a straight red/blue.
It is made of thin aluminum-and it was painted. So I was happy to be able to read the word "Roosevelt" on it. Did a minor fresh water cleanup but that's all I'm doing. Can't make out the exact script on the rear round "clasp" but it is also different than the listed example.
A nice little piece of history-it is what makes this hobby so fascinating...
