New member
A guy down the road from me about a mile saw me detecting a field across from his house about 2 weeks ago, I detected till dark and when I went to pack up and stopped me and told me how his lost his wedding band in his backyard a year ago. He asked if anyway possible I could search for it for him. I said sure but it is dark now I will come back. Well I got busy with life, work, detecting etc

Great job Terry! There really is nothing like the feeling you get when you see the reaction on someone's face right when they realize their wait and painful loss is over. I have never had it in me to play "the trick" on anyone, but I might have to suck it up and try it once this summer. I still always get too excited about sharing the moment with them to think about messing with them.

Well done and I look forward to seeing what your detecting-karma will bring you soon hopefully.

That's an awesome story Terry !! Thanks for being so kind to a total stranger, it's great for everyone
when a detectorist shows the world that we care enough to return lost items.

Very cool G4E!:clapping: That fellow looks like he works hard for a living, and your generous return of that will make an impact on his Life.

Great job! He will never forget your act of kindness.

This is the kind of thing that helps people appreciate our hobby.

I actually have a class ring that I need to go find for a friend from work who used to live in my neighborhood. His father gave it to him (father is now dead) and he lost it spreading grass seed. I have the new owners permission to hunt for it and I hope my luck is as good as yours.

Keep up the good work G4E!!

Awww Terry....that is such a great story. I loved reading that. I want to be able to do that for someone. Very special thanks for sharing!!!
