Lost ring found by club members:thumbup:

Our club, Memphis Metal Detecting Club, was recently contacted through our web site by a fellow in a nearby community offering our club a reward if any of our members could locate a ring his wife lost while throwing a ball for their dogs to retrieve in their backyard. One of our members, Marcus, that took the initial phone call, went out and searched for it the following Saturday for a couple of hours, but to no avail. Marcus then contacted me and I put the word out to several more members and one, Carolyn, our club treasurer, went out and searched for it the next Sat., and again, with no luck. During our Aug. monthly meeting I broached the subject again and several members got together in the form of a "buddy Hunt" today and this time Carolyn was able to locate the ring.
The ring was platnum, but unfortunately, the ring had been hit by a lawn mower and the 1 1/2 caret diamond was missing. The husband, none the less, was so pleased with our clubs efforts that he wrote out a very, very nice check to our club. I am proud to be a member of this club. HH jim tn

But good of your group to recover the mounting. Good PR!!!!

yes, it was to bad about the lawnmower. One of the mount prongs got hit and the diamond apparently flew off...and probably no telling how far. It was suggested to go out after dark with a flashlight and look for a sparkle. Who knows, maybe their luck will continue. Hope you are digging some goodies. It almost feels like fall down our way right now. HH jim tn

If you have a blacklight it will make finding the Diamond easier..
