lost my dkny (donna karan) wristwatch

Hi Gang,
I was sitting on the Belmar NJ beach last week around Aug. 18-19 aroung 17-18 ave by the surfing beach and I lost my dkny(Donna Karan NY) wristwatch. It is a women's watch. It is a silver link with a rectangular purple face. My 85 yr old father bought it for me after his 2nd open heart surgery at a mall during one of his walks. It is only worth, at the time of purchase, 115, but the sentimental value is worth a mint to me. The model number is NY3078, although I am not sure it is marked on the actual watch.

I am asking if anyone found it to please e mail me at janecw59@hotmail.com I am very willing to make pay you for your efforts.

Thanks in advance for your help if at all possible. Sincerely, jane

Haven't heard back yet, need more accurate location. I'll put out the word to the regulars, hopefully they came up with it and not the beach sweeper.

Odds are it's been found from where she told me she lost it. I'll talk to some of the regulars, hopefully it was one of them that found it. I'll give the area a skimming, stranger things have happened. :)

I received a nice reward in today's mail from Jane for looking for her watch, even though it was an unsuccessful hunt.
I wasn't gonna go hunting, but after filling up my Element, I needed some shock treatment. It was the best beach day of the summer. A nice cut has appeared and targets where decent, but people were in the way, so I'm going back for tonights low tide.
As I worked my way south from 12th ave., I was nearing 18th, where Jane had lost the watch. I started hitting a small cluster of targets and was lackadaisically dumping the sand outside the holes and nudging through it with the edge of the coil to locate them. I saw a crescent silver shaped item and was thinking, necklace. As I lifted it with the scoop and shook off the packed wet sand, I noticed it was a watch. Dumbfounded, I looked up toward the boardwalk and realized I was in the area the watch had been lost.
After brushing it off, and seeing the makers name etched on the back, I cracked a grin, still in disbelief.
I continued digging targets for about twenty five minutes and as I looked up, I see this beautiful blonde sweetie walking toward me smiling. Realizing it's Jane, I just stood there with a dumb look of disbelief about what has just happened and the odds of it.
I tell her the good news of finding it, and hopefully it just needs a battery to get it running again. She goes and brings another reward and as much as I say, "no", she insists and sticks it in my pocket.
It was great getting to meet her in person and return the watch right where it was lost. It actually was about fifty feet down the present slope, which could have been the peak of the slope before today's cut. It also was about a foot deep, so I guess that's what saved it from the infamous beach sweeping machine.
Jane's gonna try and email me a pic of the watch and I'll post it. I wish I had my camera with me, to record this supernatural occurance right where it all took place.
