It was overall a good day metal detecting. I started out rather early dropping my daughter off
at swim team practice. I left the High School and went to a local grammar school and I found a pocket
full of trash and about six or seven coins, all clad. Through a fence in the back of the grammar school
I could see what appeared to be an old High School and I was dying to detect its back lawn, apparently
the town owns it and it is now a business center . I went to the front of the building to ask permission but,
the door was locked and there was no one around so , open invitation I detected it for about an hour leaving
no trace with a towel to collect all the dirt to fill all holes I've yet to find any silver metal detecting, several times
I've been within one year.I spent a total two hours before picking up my daughter from practice.. Later in the
afternoon I wanted to try one of my old grammar schools from when I was a child. The school has history and i
believe it was from the early 1900's. I found about six more coins all clad again approximate time one hour..
We had to head home the kids had places to go so we did. Well if all else fails hit the back yard, there's a lot of junk
to clean up from a remodel about seven years ago and some clad. I got a pretty good signal up close to our patio
after detecting the back yard for about two hours The good signal ended up being a small 14 kt ring a couple inches down.
that had been missing for about seven years and forgotten.
Well my wife had been harassing since I purchased the Garrett Ace 350. She wanted me to find her a nice ring so when I
located this 14 kt shrimp ring I was able to present it to her without delay. She was able to have a nice ring and I was assured that
in the future I have a pretty good chance of making more finds. So as I said, in the beginning it turned out to be a pretty good day metal
detecting.
