Loose headphone jack

Guest
My 2 week old Explorer got dropped off at the shop I bought it from yesterday.
They were nice enough to give me a loaner till it comes back from Minelab.
My question > is it a gimmie that the case is going to crack, like I read dozens of times on previous posts, or has that been taking care of in later production runs?
thanks
Jim in WI

Jim,
From what I understand all those made after Feb of this year has the new style housings and should have no problem with cracking at the locking pin.
I have only one of the ones I sold too that has the headphone jack come loose, it was one of the newer style and it still works yet and we are going to wait untill this winter to send it in.

Rick,
Thanks
I lost one side then the other side started getting scratchy too, so I figured since I can get a loaner, I would send it in now and have it ready to go for the last few months.

Before you get it back! The best $20.00 you could spend.Takes all the pressure off of the jack caused by the junk, way to short headphones that come with it.Get you a good set of phones and you will be very happy and you will not have to worry about that again.Even cheap detecting specific or full size radio shack with a 1/4 inch jack, phones are a 100 times better than the factory supplied ones.
