Loose Dirt

Does the Neutral ground setting help depth over the Difficult setting in loose soil? We have known for years that the Explorers were somewhat lackluster in freshly plowed & loose dirt situations. In the Andy's book it says the neutral setting is supposed to help .. I was at such a site yesterday using Difficult & wasnt getting much depth but had forgotten about the neutral / difficult option until I was on my way home.. Anybody had the opportunity to mess with it in the loose stuff?
