HI Queastion:

I see that alote of companys sell loop supports for detector's. they keep your coil upright so it don't move. do they work well? or are they a wast of time and money?

Coil supports work well especially for larger coils...On regular size you shouldn't need them as hand tightened should stay in place..Only drawback should you hit the side of a hill, changing ground conditions not able to change the position at will and is a drawback. Heres a tip have a buddy watch when you set the the coil to be flat as in most cases the tip of the loop is up causing loss of depth. May be an optical illusion but when its completely flat appears that the tip is too far forward and takes a while to set and keep in this position....a buddy standing to the side will be able to make sure its set correctly and in time even your convential coils will be set correctly...
