Two weeks ago, I got a notice that my street was going to be repaired, and that residents wouldn't be able to park on the street. It was supposed to start on Monday. Orange signs were posted from every tree on the street about no parking from 7 am to 5 pm. Just a little to the west of my house, there are red signs on tripods about "No Parking by Police Order". Ok, fine.

Only one problem. It RAINED all day Monday, and part of the day Tuesday. No roadwork of any kind. I've got three cars in a single-lane driveway. We have to jockey them around if whoever ISN'T parked closest to the street wants out.

I just had a street-sweeper go by 20 minutes ago. Hopefully the tar truck and the gravel truck gets here today.

although I probably will have to do that for a little bit. I don't know how the city will take it, however. Where I'm originally from, Tulsa, OK, there is a city oridinance that states vehicles can not be parked over grass, they must be parked on concrete or asphalt.
