Looks like someone already posted a pretty good initial field test on the X-Terra... Here's a couple pictures...

Of course I had to pay extra to have Golddigger model for me.. (It can be a job to pry that Explorer from his hands..) Anyway... Here's what she actually looks like in your hands.. Sorry about the drab day it was here.. Very dingy day here...

I assembled it without even looking at the directions. Very easy. And as Bill just mentioned the machine is one light piece of equipment.

Anyway... Didn't get much of a chance to do much with it other than make sure it could see a couple targets we found to see if it could hit on them too. This happens to be a picture of it hitting on a higher conductive target the Explorer found.

It turned out to be a piece of jewelry with some silver in it. Don't know the purity. This post is really about what the machine looks like. I just opened the box and put it together. I then went out and found Darrel from Michigan who is still wallowing around in our parks waiting to leave out of St. Louis for Michigan tomorrow. Golddigger showed up about a half hour after I got there and we did our little deal. I'll give it a good testing over the next week. I wouldn't argue with anything Bill CA said thus far. It's a snap to put together and it's different technology and you never know what that is going to mean on any spot you've pounded.

Glad that you liked the field test. I have a few pix that I will attach of the machine, although they pale in comparison to yours since you had a model...
