I decided to drive to a town not far from here. It ended up being only 30 miles, one way.
I thought it was going to be farther than that. It's all freeway so I can cruse in over drive
and get good gas mileage.

There is a Civil War battle field close and a military museum. There are a couple of other
historical sites in the area. I spent part of the morning gathering information for further re-
search.

After I got through reconordering the CW sites I found 2 city parks. All the city parks there
have tot lots with "fall zone cushioning". It has a cushioned bottom, covered with a fabric,
and then a filling of shredded tires goes over that. It is very easy to hunt with my Vaquero. I
just ignored the deeper targets, because they were below the fabric.

I looked at two promising parks.

The one I chose has 168.74 acres. It has a 10-acre lake with fishing pier. This pier was
totally under water a week ago.

The playground was very clean. The clad coins have no corrosion. I was getting very hot
and sweaty by the time the rug rats started showing up.

This little girl kept saying "what cha doin mister...what cha doin mister...what cha doin mister...
what cha doin mister...what cha doin mister...what cha doin mister...what cha doin mister...

Until I recovered a golden pearl bracelet. Her eyes got real big and she started screaming.:jump:
She wanted it, and started to cry.......

Her mother came over there to see what all the excitement was,,:ranting: and I had to show her the
bracelet. She scolded the little girl...:nono: I wanted to give it to her, but it looks like real gold and
pearls. But, I don't have a clue...........

I also showed her the sharp screws and some glass I got out of the tot lot. I didn't want her
to think I was just an opportunist.:smoke:

I also found a junk pearl ring and a complete set of ear buds. There was a charm, a brass bell
a golden ear ring with a pink stone and a charm.

There was a couple pieces of brass that look like twisted gold. I WISH!!!!!!

It was a very good day.:) I'm excited about all the things that could come from this area.:wiggle:

Thanks for looking.

HH,

Nice finds as usual Tabdog, you always find the nicest mix of trinkets, charms etc., hope you're feeling better.
I read somewhere that the shredded tires were found to have some toxins and are supposed to be removed, maybe when they do you'll get to go back for the deep ones!
