LOOKS like great weather here this week...Todays Hunt Finds

Again, back to old faithful Wood's Field for about 2 hours...I think I have just about hunted the South End of the field out...this is my third pass over that section, and the finds are getting slim...Not pictured were a Speed Racer toy car (Mach V), and a brass or nickel arrow point...The kind founs on cheap wooden shafts for target shooting recurves...
At least the Copper to Zinc ratio was good today...If I am gonna dig pennies, let em be coppas
All found with the Land Star and 8" coil

Happy Hunting,

Looking good! You beat be for finds by a couple of bucks. But i did have my first City Employee stop where i was MD'ing and ask what i was doing and then he says are you leaving huge holes in my grass, and isaid no, here look, and explained how i either cut a flip top or a plug out and then neatly put it all back together. He was a big dude too, but he was happy with what i said and left. My son and I only started MD'ing again about 2 months ago.

Most of them are OK with the digging as long as you can show em you know what your doing...I try my very best to leave the ground as I found it...When I went out the other day, I did notice a few of my holes the grass did not take after it rained, and I had to fix them again...It has been dry here, so it is hard to cut a decent plug and get it to not die after a day or two...I do not like doing this, but sometimes, it cannot be avoided with the weather...One should always strive to do no damage to the environment...It is just common curtesy, and in the end benefits EVERYONE, and you should take pride in it...
Welcome back...Once a treasure hunter, always a treasure hunter...
