looks like a rock, detects as dime, non magnetic.. what is it?

any input would be great =) found it on the beach tonight...

also any tips on where to search would be great.. did waters edge for half my walk without a single blip.. on the dry sand found 3 dimes, 4 pennies, couple ptabs, and some iron.... but thats in almost 2 hours.. so obviously i dont know if theres something i should be looking for to search.. so any tips would be great =) thanks

Looks like a piece of corroded piece of zinc to me.
 
Looks like an alum. can. We find lot's of them in FLA. People make fires on the beach and put cans in the fire ,the can melts and then you get a little Alum. ball. Along comes a metal detector and there you go a little Alum. can.Non- magnetic . Ok as far as to where to hunt ,??What State do you live in and What beach do you hunt salt or fresh water??
 
I'm in panama city beach, FL. live right outside of st. andrews state park right across the street from the beach, so I walk to the beach to go detecting.
