Looks like a rake but....

It doesn't look like a handle was attached to it. My detecting partner posted this at another forum but there were no definite ID's. It measures 10.5 x 3 inches and about 1/8th inch thick and made of iron or steel. Found at mid 1800’s site in MA. Some suggestions were:
Something for combing wool from sheep or loom comb. (was my guess)
Part of piano player with turning cylinder. (think iron too rigid for that)
Squeeze box (accordion) reed. (think those would be made of copper or brass?)
Blueberry or cranberry rake. (very possible)
I’m guessing it was hand made because the tines and gaps between them are different sizes. Seems too crude to be a mass produced product. It could just be an item made for a specific project by the home owner but would like to hear other suggestions for it’s purpose.
