Hello All,
Bought my first Minelbe detector last year an old explorer xs and had great luck with it. 77 silver coins 3 gold rings some very cool old war relics (civil, wwl, ww2). It has sold me on Minlabes from here on out and looking to upgrade. My hunting buddies or at least 3 of them all use the e-trac with great success. Been kinda leaning in that direction.Been reading alot on these 3030 alot of good and a few bad. The learning curve scares me a little bit don't want to get in over my head. The weight distribution some say makes it hard to swing for long periods of time.Love the idea of it being water proof. Let me just ask this, You guys that have switched from the e-trac to the 3030 was it a good move and what does it offer in depth over the e-trac.
Thanks

Same depth Just really good in trashy areas. Numbers are better. Swings better then etrac. only my opinion. I still have etrac but it just collects dust. Both are great machines.

Pretty much what brocifus said, I like the separation on the CTX and stability of signals. To me the Target Trace is one of the main features I like and that you can assign tones to different TID number range in the Combined function. I find the Combine with Ferrous Coin is so versatile I rarely use the other programs I have on hand but when I do want to use them just one button push and I can switch back and forth seamlessly.

Its a lot better balanced than the Etrac. I can swing all day and no longer get shoulder pain.

If you have mastered the XS, the CTX is a natural progression. YOu won't have a huge learning curve. Order one, you will not be disappointed. I am sure enjoying mine!
