I've done a boatload of searching the archives to no avail, so I'll get right to the point. Do any of the dealers that sponsor the Findmall forums sell the Ikelite cap only for the Excalbur AA battery pod?? To clarify, I'm referring to the o-ring'd cap with the two female pins and the 9-volt connector that attaches to the alkaline holder (or, potentially, a NiMH pack) within, NOT the threaded black cap that secures the main pod's battery cable to the battery pod. Presumably, I would only be able to use this configuration while wading, even though it appears to every bit as waterproof as the standard battery pod.

I don't think anyone sells them. Not sure if the patent is up either. So good luck getting a company to make one for you. If you do find a seller, let us know those endcaps both for the body an battery pod are hot items. Minelab will not sell them. HH an GL. -Joe
 
Do a search in the modification forum for "Excalibur", as I think I've ran across threads on this but don't remember that they said. If you do find something useful PM me a thread link or post the link directly in the Excalibur accessories sticky as that should be of good use for others.
 
even Minelab won't sell it to you, you'll have to buy the whole battery pod, alkaline battery pod, unless you can find one from a forum member, that is what I did. A forum member saw my post and sent me one for free, I'm very grateful to him. HH
