Looking to get a new coil to replace the stock

Hey guys, haven't been posting much lately. Was looking to get a different coil to replace my stock one because i feel like it may be going bad. I don't want to go too much bigger because i hunt mostly house sites and woods. I do have a 6x8 sef for trashy sites which has been nice. But I have the 10x12 SEF and the Coiltech 12x8 treasureseeker in mind, but am open to any recommendations. Thanks

the Coiltek 12x8 is super heavy ... it was made to work in water and the weight helps hold it down ... had it sold it ... worked great but was just too heavy

I would also be interested in getting the detech ultimate 13", but i wasnt sure if it should really only be used in fields and parks and not homesites

I have a number of detectors with multiple coils for each. All are packed away for winter except my E-Trac with the 13" Ultimate just in case I can get out to detect.. That with the X-1 probe is my absolute favorite.

I use two coils mostly the Coiltek 10x5 for real trashy spots and the Ultimate for all others ... I have the 15" WOT but unless I am working fields or places where it is real clean it sets home

Hey Surf.... I just bought a used wot because the price was right and I have a couple spots I think I can use it come spring. Also have the Ultimate and I love it. Can you tell me anything you like, or dislike about the wot? If you have an Ultimate, have you noticed any depth increase over the Ultimate with the wot? Kinda curious...

thanks....

little more depth but it is a bit heavier and covers a lot of ground ... it's not a coil for everywhere but in the right spot it is a good coil

Thanks Surf!

As far as the OP goes... I prefer the Ultimate over the pro coil for reasons I can't really explain? It has also found me some relatively deep coins on edge, Can't say whether thePro would have found em or not? I also personally think the Ultimate gives me somewhat better tones than the Pro? jmo......

I do like the sounds of the ultimate coil
