Looking to buy an X-Terra... :clapping:

I am looking into getting an X-terra but have a very small budget. That is why is was looking more at the 305. My Primary hunting will be I'm the beaches of Miami that do not have black sand. How would the 305 perform? Advice?

Dry sand you'll do fine....Wet Salt sand not so well....Always did well with my X30 on west coast Fla beaches hunting the dry sand..beach,cabanas,towel line,lounge chairs,pathways,beach access,etc...Did me good for 5 years,never a problem to this day...GL

Thanks Bob. I had a Whites DFX some years ago that I sold. Even that machine gave me some false signals and didn't seem to have good depth in dry sand. Do you think I can bypass those false signals with a high frequency DD coil?

Never tried a different coil on my X30,only had the 9" 7.5 it came with.Only detector/coil I had for 5 years.No problems on the dry beach sand with it.No false signal problems with good sensitivity.I use the DD 18.75..5x10 on my 705 most of the time,great coil for poking around at the beach with and easy to pinpoint, would be a great coil for the 305.The 9"7.5&6"18.75 are waterproof....5x10 18.75 elliptical is not.GL

Buy a secondhand 70 or 705 , far better than the 30 or 305 . Believe me
