New member
i am ready to retire my " learners detector" and step up to a real one. I really want an MXT but i dont have the budget to buy one new. Whats a fair price to pay for a used one and how do I know if it is a good machine and not one that is all messed up. advice on this would be very helpful. thanx by the way my budget is about 500

check the metal detecting classified, there is a post on it for a MXT in your price range.

Bob's keeping an eye out for you with the Metal Detecting Equipment Classified Forum here on findmall.com The MXT is a very good price! You rock Bob! Hey, do you know where I could get a good deal on some gas? $4.09 here and rising. We need to go claddin'. HH to all, Nancy

Glade to help dobbie, I hope you get it. You will love the MXT.:whites::clapping: Nancy, Wal-Mart has gas for $3.85 here in Muskogee.

Nancy,
Just talking to a fellow in Texas near the Mexico border. He says people have been crossing the border regularly to get gas for $2.75 a gallon! ..Just a wee bit out of your and my way......

Bob, They took ALL the gas stations out of the Walmarts around here. They've put dirt and grass there now and you can't even tell there was a gas station there anymore. STRANGE!!!!!!!!

Hank1,No that wouldn't be too economical for us to drive down to Mexico to get gas. I would be too afraid to drive my car there. If anyone does go down there, I could use some more white vanilla. :please:

Thanks and HH to you all, Nancy

Man that's what I want also but it's sold hope someone else will post 1 soon

I'm sorry, I really hate to hear bad news like that!!

Nancy, driving in Mexico isn't THAT bad! We go there all the time and haven't had a problem yet. You just gotta remember that they hide the stop signs behind bushes, don't mark one-way streets and things like that. Other than that it isn't too bad. I have never been stopped by the Rurales, thank heaven.

And gas here in San Luis Rio Colorado isn't that cheap......

Marc

LOL.......What can I say Mark! I can see the traffic now.

HH to all,
Nancy

And "funky as hell" is STYLIN' in Mexico!!

I've heard a lot of good things about the F2. I would love to have one as a back-up/loaner, but I can't IMAGINE anything better than my trusty ol' MXT! :inlove:

In fact, I have a nearly new Minelab Quattro collecting dust as my backup because I can't bring myself to take it out instead of the MXT. Seems the more I use it, the better I like it. I'm sure you'll have the same feeling about your F2 soon. For the money, I think you did VERY WELL!

Marc

love it!.that's a hoot!..however the car IS built totally in japan with 100% JAP parts!..sorry!
