Looking to Buy a Tesoro Metal Detector - Looking to Buy a Tesoro Metal Detector

I've been waiting for the new Legend to hit the market, but there seems to be uncertainty as to when it will actually be available. So, in the mean time I'd like to pick up a detector that won't set me back too much while I wait. And something that will service as a good "go to" backup if/when necessary. For starters, I'm looking for a detector that has sensitivity, threshold, discrimination, and ground balance controls. Let me know if you have what I'm looking for and what you want for it...

Thanks for the advise tahts. Are there any used vistas out there?

They show up occasionally. I bought one last summer but haven't checked to see if there are any listed since buying mine. You might want to get ahold of Richard (Backwoods Metal Detectors). He's the Deeptech dealer so it is possible that he'd know of someone wanting to sell their Vista X.

Yeah, I checked his website to see what a new unit costs. My concern is spending more (or about the same) on a back up detector when compared to the cost of the Legend. It's easy to get carried away and lose sight of my objective.

I found and bought myself a Vaquero. Now comes the wait until I get my hands on it. That reminds me of something a friend once told me - "it's not the hanging, it's the waiting". Thanks to everyone that sent me messages in this quest.

Simplex is Cheap.
And quite effective as a backup.
Has everything your looking for. Submersible too.
Instead of taking one of my expensive machines with me everywhere.
I take it.
Does the job of seeing if I want to come back with other machines.
With the SP 24 coil it's smooth.
Not all chirpy like the first release.
Run the 2.77 program.

I would love another Mojave to keep when mine wears out.
Or a non modded Compadre.
Very special machines.
Wish I had tried them years ago.
Best in nails of anything I own.
