Hi there Gramps22 here
I am new to the forum and look forward to learning a lot from others. I live in northern Michigan where we have about 2 feet of snow so cabin feaver is getting pretty hi right now. I am looking forward to spring so that I can continue my new hbby, Metal Detecting.

If you have any advice I would welcome it.
Thanks

Welcome to the Forum. I am a relatively newbie. Only about 7 months experience. However there are guys on here that have a wealth of knowledge and are more than willing to share that knowledge. Just ask questions and they will answer the. Great forum for learning about the hobby.

Hang out and talk detecting.I hang out here a lot because i don't do tv much. And this forum can really help with cabin fever.Things are about to get swinging around here.So there is no dumb questions. :)

Hi gramps,my advice is just keep things simple and enjoy your time in the great outdoors.I see too many people getting wrapped up in the technical aspects of the hobby and forgetting how to enjoy it.Hope the snow melts soon for you.

I spent my first 25 years in the Detroit Metro area.
Miss the Coney's and the delicatessens and the Tigers, but not the winters so I moved to Fla for 12 years.
Now I am back in the north in Kansas and I am also looking at a monochrome landscape.
I have hunted in Michigan and most of the lower peninsula has great soil so you should find much.

What kind of advice are you looking for?
Just ask...we are glad to help.
