Looking for your opinion

I use an XLt, I own an Xterra 70, and I also do a little water detecting with a Tesoro Tiger Shark..........I mainly hunt Parks, Schools, and, old farmsites.
What would you suggest I buy in the way of a new detector, and, why????? I will be getting one but I want a little input on the purchase.
I am not looking for the cheapest, nor do I want too spend $1,500.00 dollars..........................................I would like something easy on iron, and good on coins, at a respectable depth. Any good solid advice on the different machines will be very appreciated. Thank you.

If you can, try out an Explorer XS or an Explorer 2, you can get one used for a decent price. It should be a good addition to your 70. The areas you named are some of the same sites I hunt and the Explorer does very well at those sites. One thing I really like about the Explorer besides some of the more obvious stuff is that I rarely get fooled by large iron.
