LOOKING FOR TIPS FOR X-70 AT BEACH

Best bet it to work a zig zag pattern parallel to the waterline halfway between the high and low tide marks. Good luck
Where are you going to detect?

Lots of good information for X-Terra users. HH Randy

I'm from philly going to fl. south of Miami to homestead air force base on 10-26-09 work related for 2 weeks maybe hitting the keys or any other beach i can find on my off time.

Here are the steps I take when beach hunting:

1.Noise cancel
2.Top of beach in dry sand
GB-Standard
Sensitivity-12
GB function is selected so you can see GB number
3.Turn tracking on and start walking toward the water.
4.Monitoring GB numbers as you approach the first hint of moist sand near first transition point. Will run out of adjustment scale.
5.At this point stop, turn off tracking and switch to Beach mode and mark point.
6.At the water line it is time to adjust the sensitivity as high as you can with out falsing. This is the lowest sensitivity you will need.

This works for me. Hope it helps. HH TomB
