Looking for the ultimate Beach Machine.....

I am getting back into detecting following a 5-year hiatus for various reasons. Most of my activity will be searching SC Beaches. When I gave up the hobby 5 years ago, I had been using a Fisher CZ70 Pro that I dearly loved. Since it's not being made anymore & I'm sure technology has duly progressed in my absence, which detector(s) in this day and age are considered optimal for the beaches? I need money-well-spent here. Any opinions appreciated. Thanks, folks........Butch.

I don't believe there is an Ultimate beach machine. Everyone has thier onw opinion and mine are. I use an AT pro , really hot on small thing gold. It's a little chattery in salt water though(got to turn down the Sens). I also have a CZ20 which is NOT good on small gold( it won't even give a chirp where as the PRO will sound off nicely). JMO

I agree theres no PERFECT machine. You said beach.... you just talking dry sand? If not then id say invest. Unlike a dirt machine where you dig those relics and old coins that end up in your collection and never helps pay for your detector a good water machine can pay for its self quickly. If its an occassional beach machine on dry sand there are a lot of single freq machines that will do the job.....Gold Bug, AT pro, ect. BUT if you are just beach hunting..... SOV, Xcal, ET, CZ21. Bust out the bucks for a good machine if you are serious.

Take a look at the multi-freq, machines. They excel in a salt beach environment.HH

My TDI pro is my go to beach machine, better than my Etrac and Pro, it's stable and deep in wet or dry sand.

I agree on small gold earrings and chains I won't get a chirp BUT I have found VERY small gold childrens rings with my CZ-21. I didn't even get a chirp on the 18 gram 14K chain I dug. I only found it because I was after a penny nearby and the end came into view. However, its got great depth and is very easy to swing with it hipmounted.

Lots to chose from, My only advice is to get one and LEARN it.

You Cant Go Wrong With The Whites Dual Field.... Yes you will dig everything but you will get excellent Depth and you will trully never know unless you dig it anyways
