Looking for the best waist mounted belt and meter for my new excalibur 2

Gonnagetlucky

New member
I just moved to the treasure coast of florida from So.California and I bought my first metal detector for the beach. Im looking for a heavy duty belt style carrying system to hold the components that is comfortable and won't cut into my side. It sounds like a meter would be helpful, does anyone know what the best waterproof meter is?
Thanks for your help

I've been looking for but can't find so far is a Nylon adjustable belt 1 1/2 to 2 inches wide. The poly belts cut into the ol love handles since most of the time I don't have a shirt on at the beach.Anyone got a lead on a nylon belt?

would this work??

I would have to use a full harness, as I don't have hips to hang anything on any more. Just about need suspenders. Have a tree stand safety harness somewhere that might work.

Consider that you may not want to be tied to your detector if you take a spill in the water.

Hello i purchased a 2'' black web belt at sears in the tool department, All you have to do is line up where you want to mount the excalibur on the belt and drill three holes.

I purchased three wing nuts and washers and bolts and the middle wing nut bolt you remove from the belt to take off the battery for replacement or charging.

I mounted my excalibur on the right side of belt, These tool belts at sears wook great, and you can adjust the belt to fit snugly.

I have two excaliburs that i have waist mounted this way and works great while i am beach detecting, Also you can slide your treasure pouch thru the belt and wear on your side to keep all your finds.

The side mount that come with the excalibur is not good and they should have just encluded the 2'' web belt instead, Try this and you will be a happy detectorist..
