Looking for opinion on Sunray 'Ultra Depth' 12" solid coil.

Hi All,

I found a used 'Ultra Depth' 12" coil for sale. I use a SovereignXS, mostly for beach hunting, and I'm wondering if I could get a little extra depth over my 11" Coinsearch coil by using the 12".

It looks like an older model since it is solid and not the current open loop design.

The guy wants 75 bucks for it.

So, any opinions on the coil? Does the price seem about right?

Thanks in advance.

Price is about right ($55-$70 range depending on condition) for it as it is the older 12 inch coil. This one is not waterproof if I remember right (1996 when I became a Minelab dealer I had some and think the newer open ones came out in 1999) and the one I had was heavier than the new ones are, but it did a good job for me with getting my deepest coin at 13-14 inches in a playground, really had to go slow and listen close.
I never used a 11 inch coinsearch at the time as this 12 inch was suppose to be better, so I can compare them.

If it isn't waterproof then it won't work for me.

Thanks again.
