Looking for New Metal Detector:shrug:

caliber1

New member
I am new to this hobby, and I would like to purchase a good metal detector. I read a good user feedback for ID EDGE, which is suitable for my price range. I was wondering weather this is a good metal detector or not. Please give me some feedback for this metal detector and how it compares to the new F75 or the Coin Strike.
Thanks

Its a great starting detector too becouse its really easy to set up and use. I've had mine a little over 11 months and i'm very happy with what it will do, Coin depth is good it I.ds well and you can use it wading at the beach too(just dont get the control box wet) as you can hip or chest mount it with easy. good luck and wecome to the hobby

Its far easier than the other 2 units mentioned.....
The C$ & F75 are really complex & for the more seasoned "pros"....
The Edge is an excelent unit with some quick start presets to get you going right away....but not a toy as I still use it often for backpacking.
good luck,
Bill

I think the ID_EDGE is the most under rated unit on the market. In the field , the EDGE will compete with the $1000 units. The EDGE has a lot of COIN_STRIKE built it.

Thank you all for the information. I also read in the other forums that the ID Edge has the same depth capabilities as the F75. It looks like I have found what I want and will look forward to purchasing mine.

But for the $$ the ID-Edge is an excellent choice & plenty deep enough. Could be the best in it's price point, & I'll be keeping it around for sure.
HH,
Bill
