Looking for metal detecting club in northern Iowa

Just returned to the hobby after about 2 years. Iowa is and always have been very poor in holding together a detecting club. When I started detecting 20 years ago, I wanted to find a club, but seemed treasure hunters were too far and few between to hold any sort of club together. The few people I have run into that were hunters in Iowa, were very good as hunters, but also were lone wolves. Iowa is a gold mine of untouched ghost towns and historical places to hunt. To hunt any of these places, it always seem the pressures on, and it would be great to have more than one person to hunt these areas, but always seems the loyal people in the hobby lives 200 miles apart and its hard to organize hunts.
Good luck Jerry=Iowa from Knoxville
