looking for a used golden sabre 11 any body have one please e mail me with price.and how many people are still using yours likes &dislikes thanks and depth your getting.

Hey, I owned a Golden Sabre II some years ago, and I don't think it was a very good machine. I know some others out there will disagree with me but I still will state my case:
1. Discriminate was pretty good but depth was only fair, compared with my older Golden Sabre Plus which still kicks butt to this day.
2. Audio was very crappy, tiny speaker, not enough amplification, even with decent headphones.
3. Battery compartment was the worst, very difficult to get the batteries in/out of the machine since it uses 2 battery packs holding 4 batteries each and a very cramped battery compartment.
I would suggest getting a different Tesoro model. I think this model was a real dud. They took a great machine, the Golden Sabre, and really screwed it up. I would recommend the original Golden Sabre or the Golden Sabre Plus, not the Golden Sabre II. This is just my opinion since I've owned 6 different Tesoro models over the years.
Also, I've heard good things, but have not gotten to use the Vaquero, Cibola, Tejon, and golden uMax. Maybe you might want to consider these models also.
Just my two cents.

I've had two GS II's and really liked useing them. They had great discrimination and I think the audio was great, but I have to agree with locusman that neither had good depth, that's why I sold them. Both GS II's would barely get an inground dime at 4 inches, and our soil is virtually mineral free. If you want something that works similar with more performance take a look at the Golden

I have a golden sabra 2 for at least 10 years..I love this machine..I only sent it in once for a problem I ahd from getting to close to someones machine ..Was my fault...Other wise it picks stuff up with good depth and discriminates great.I only use three modes and it works good enough that way for me...I still want to get a tesoro that is water proof with disrimination and all metal pin point..that will will good in an area that has alot of minerals or hot rocks. <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D"> I do meteorite hunting in wisconsin..where the weather ishard on rocks and there is lots of minerals.
