Looking for F75 input from users.

I am interested in the purchase of the F75 and would appreciate advise from user's as I have heard of potential problems i.e. "ground chatter" & stability issues. The unit
really is appealing and would appreciate any input. Thanks

Depends on your experiance, ground chatter = metal in the ground stability = user

Your response sounds extremely self defensive! Would like to hear from some unbiased experienced F75 user's but, thanks anyway.

Sorry i didnt meen to come off that way. You didnt give enough backround of yourself. Are you upgradeing from a diffrent machine? How long have you been detecting etc. Even where you live "soil conditions" can play a role. It is a very sensitive machine. I am really likeing it after putting about 30 hours on it. I will say i was overwhelmed when i first got it, now that i have some time on it and know how to set it proper "still learning btw" it suprises me every time i go out.

Caps i just turned 60 hrs on mine Just put the 3rd set of Batterys in yesterday My work scedule dont allow mw to hunt as much as i want to....and I learn something new with every hunt..I willl say I live
in some of the nastiest red clay ground in the country NC..so Mine at first chattered like a set of Bull dozer tracks till I learned not to Juice
the sense up..Its a fine tune to the ground function to me ..Now after getting a good GB I have zilt problems what I do is pick a mode if in Disc
and crank up the sense till it becomes un stable then tune the sense down for conditions and the amount of DISC I use which is very little if possible the F75
from 0 to 6 Disc is a depth guru it dont need much sense 30 to 70 is usualy good..and I Fast grab alot its easy and sometime will go into all metal and add 2-3 numbers
I am learning with every hunt and continue to be amazed..the all metal modes is a new animal in its self and the Stat mode is just amazeing ..The F75 to me is
whatever a person wants to make it..As EZ stated it can be a hand ful But after a few hours with patience and understanding it will be your best friend..it is mine..
Now when I go out to a hunt I can tune it to be very stable and totally quiete and hunt Deep..The F75 loves coins on edge and Tiny targets..I have some gold prospecting
planned soon and cant wait to start shooting the creeks with the small coil in JE mode which is an unreal mode..It will pick up the Tiniest targets.
After having the F75 for a bit and Relic hunting and coin shooting ..the Best explanation I give folks is its like a Hotrod with a Blower A little can be alot..

I have a question....You stated "Caps i just turned 60 hrs on mine Just put the 3rd set of Batterys in yesterday" Now I know myself and many others have over 60 hours on 1 set of batteries. So why are you on your third set? Are you not getting the battery life as the rest of us? Just curious!

Thanks for all the excellent feed back on the F75. Sounds like a excellent machine! Much appreciated!

I was kind of wondering about liquid 1's battery life, too. I get 60+ hours on a set and change them after a few hours of their being in the 3rd bar and they still have some amount of life remaining. HH jim tn

caps, I have had my F75 for a year now and have well over 1000 hours in with it and I'll simply state, IT IS ONE AMAZING DETECTOR. When the F75 first came there was numerous posts about lots of chatter, erratic behavior and stability. Some of this was do to certain production problems and I highly suspect, most though, were users not understanding the detector. It is highly sensitive and tells you everything under the coil. This does take some getting used to. Some users simply did not understand the notch feature and this caused them problems. Some didn't tighten the coil wire connection tight enough to the screen mount and by not doing so caused unstability and erratic behavior. Once you get your F75 caps, I highly suggest you run it in the factory preset modes for 25-30 hours. This will help you get used to it better and it won't be so overwhelming right off. Good luck and HH jim tn

Hummmm maybe I have been using the F75 more than I taught :wacko:I always wait till the 3rd bar is out..I have used 2 sets since january 2008 i just put in the 3rd set
..I use the energizers alkalines..I guess i need to keep up with it more..My time is limited and i do a lot of quicky hunts and have done several 6 straight hr relic had beech hunts..and lots around the yard..and i have let my dad use my headphones for a few hrs when I just used the external speaker..I hope theres nothing wrong..
I tought the Battery life has been exceptional...:clapping:..james
