Hello all
I sat in front of a blank screen trying to figure out how to start this email.
My name is Bob Williams from Wichita, Ks I am the father of an Autistic son
Ryan 14, it is difficult to get Ryan to interact with people, it is as if he is the only
Person in a room, we have tried for years to find ways to engage him in social
Situations. Last fall a friend stayed with us for a short time while working a temporary
Assignment, it turns out that his was into the hobby of metal detecting, the three
Of us went out that first day hunting and Ryan came alive, he was ingauged, talking
And even asking questions, if you were aware of Ryan

Try big boy hobbies or backwood detectors they are sponsors of the forums not to mention they are nice people to deal with, it's a great hobby to get into, best of luck to ya! Hank

Like I said before, I a new to metal detecting and the metal detecting community and judging by some of the mail I have received at my home email address I have already ticked off some members.
maybe it was not such a good idea to post my home email address, I received a few emails questioning my motives asking for help finding a used detector.
I can assure the people that contacted me that I was NOT using my sons story to get a deal on a detector for myself, I only told my son Ryan's story because it was so powerful to me and it was how
we became so interested in metal detecting to begin with. This hobby has changed our lives (I am sorry if I upset anyone or did not follow forum code)
I was not trying to take advantage of anyone, just looking and praying for a quality USED machine, money is very tight due to layoff from aircraft industry, I am back to work (praise God) but making much less
than in the past......... I have some cash and some items I could trade.

Thank you and good hunting!

I would sugest eBay. An inexspensive detector like an ACE 350 or ACE 250 can be found at a good price. Easy to use too! Blessings to you and yours!

I gave a Disabled Vet a Garrett 1000 Power master last year, It was nice to be able to help out! If I come across a detector I would be glad to send it your way. good luck!

Check the sponsors. Some even have payment plans. A garrett 150-250 would be easy to pay off in the allotted time. And ignore the trolls who emailed you talking smack. They are unhappy people with no lives.

ACE 250!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At $212 it is a steal. Brand new too so if there IS a problem (and there won't be) you
have a warranty. I've had my Ace 250 seven years and no problems. It's paid for itself sevral times over.
DO IT!

yes ace 250 for 212 is a great deal and as said before some dealers even have a layaway plan. happy hunting gluk !
