Looking for deep no-motion all-metal detector - suggestions?

I'm looking for a detector to fit a specific application involving detecting fairly large iron targets down at the 2 to 4 foot depth level. Would best fall in the category of cache/relic detecting I suppose.

It must have a full-time no-motion all-metal mode. (not just pinpoint) The varying pitch VCO style of operation works great. And it must go deep. (But not looking for a 2-box)

The detector that I and most of my peers use is the Fisher Gold Bug 1 (not 2). Even though it was designed as a gold detector, it is a very effective detector for deep iron targets in no-motion mode, with great depth, especially with the bigger coil. The original Bugs have been out of production quite a while and are becoming more difficult to obtain/maintain, etc. There aren't many detectors made these days with a full-time no-motion mode, but here are a few candidates I came up with.

Garrett Master Hunter CX plus.
Garrett Scorpion (gold detector, but looks similar to original Gold Bug, has no-motion all-metal).
Tesoro Tejon
Tesoro Taquero
Whites Sierra Madre (looks interesting, but doesn't really have true no-motion mode I don't think)

Any suggestions on which of the above detectors would be a good choice? Any other suggestions? Of the two Tesoro offerings, which would be better and have the best depth capability?

Grand Master CX would seem to fit the bill. It's supposed to have a true all metal non motion ........

another machine that comes to mind is the Fisher 1260, 1266 older but very effective all metal mode machines.

It meets your requirements of a full-time, non-motion, true all-metal mode with varying pitch VCO, when operated in the prospecting mode. I

You will need a two-box setup which will pick up larger then coin sized objects, and pick them up in inches, not feet. The Garrett Treasure Hound should do the trick for you. Below is a link for more information:

If you are looking for 2-4 foot depth look at the Minelab GP machines. They will hit larger items at that depth no problem.

I donno if this would fit the bill, but, I just got in a Tesoro Lobo Super Traq. Boy did my jaw fall open this baby is unbelievable. In all metals it finds a screw so small you'd need a jewelers screw driver to turn it. Yes you have to hold a spring loaded switch for pin point (no motion) but I believe a rubber band around the shaft would keep it engaged. It detects a large steel washer about 14". So, you might go to your local detector store and test one. The auto-ground is also really cool (super traq name). Good luck.
Oh. I have to negotiate a path on the patio when I test a detector in the back yard. Metal objects on both sides. I've never had problems taking a detector through there but the Lobo went friggin' nuts.!

The Gti 2500 has no motion all metal.Works with the Deep seeking coil they use on the master hunter.Should have more depth than the master hunter also,Im not 100% sure on that tho.Good luck

Your right Belenus, it does require motion. Thanks for correcting me. I guess it was canpitdigger's desire for a "varying pitch VCO style of operation" that confused me, because I would not purposely post misinformation. By the way, I consider "true all metal" to mean a full range of acceptance, a user adjustable threshold control, and a user adjustable ground balance control. The X-Terra 70/705 has that in the prospecting mode (when not using any iron mask), but it is motion based.
