Looking for beachs to detect in Oregon

My grandauthers have been hounding me to take them to a beach in Oregon. I know there is a lot of coast line in Oregon, but I only have a weeks vacation, so I need one or two areas to go to. We live in Idaho and we don't have a clue as to where to go. If you know of a beach that might be productive and satisfy their desires I would appreciate any information you might give me. Thanks and HH Dennis in Idaho

Only Jeff replyed with a pm. I guess the rest of you are guarding your beaches. I was only going to be there for a week. Don't see what damage I would have done. Thank you for responding Jeff

Jeff, im not from OR, but we have traveled the OR coast this past month. I tryed OR Dunes NP and Gold beach no luck. We are in Astoria now.. the area is promising. Its the oldest city on the west coast dating back to the early 1800's. There are still a lot of old forts like Louis and Clark, Ft Stevens, not to mention the area is very impressive. Due a little research on the area, i think you will find it worth the trip. What i have noticed is the beaches are prety virgin. Not a long season or lots of traffic. Thats my 2 cents worth.
