looking for a nice tesoro compadre

The Compadre is on my list and I have been pricing them. This is one detector where there are very few good deals to buy used.I saw one a while back that sold on Ebay where the seller said between a 1-10 it was a 7(probably from my experience a 4) that sold for 130 dollars. At the new price this Tesoro is very inexpensive and a great deal.

oh i know but as i stated before any discount helps would' nt mind finding one with a bigger coil modification.

I picked one up for my girlfriend on EBAY for $85.00 like new, there on there all the time, I use a Tesoro Eldorado but have been taking her's out and its a great detector! super lightweight and simple, try EBAY good luck!

Great, I camped out on eBay to catch one in between the people who bid things up from the beginning of the auction...idiots! That drives the price up quick.
I am sure you know to wait until the last minute of the auction until you place your bid.
Good Luck! Scout/out

IF YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THE ONE WITH THE WOOD STILL ON ONE SIDE OF THE HANDLE THERE ARE NO MARKINGS AS TO THE MAKE AS I CAN TELL.
ONE SIDE THE WOOD HANDLE IS GONE AND TOO MUCH RUST TO SEE IF THERE IS A NAME ON THAT SIDE?
MEASURES 1" BLADE AND 7 I/2" ON THE LENGTH........... PRETTY NICE FIND THAT DAY!!!

THE OTHER ONE WITH THE TIP BROKE THAT LOOKS LIKE A GREEN RIVER BUFFALO SKINNER WAS JUST FOUND RECENTLY IN AN OLD MINING AREA STARTED IN THE 1800'S, IT IS ACTUALLY MADE FROM A FILE BY A BLACKSMITH..YOU CAN SEE THE LINES IN THE STEEL... NICELY MADE FOR BACK IN THE DAY!

THANKS FOR LOOKIN, SCOUT/OUT

I was looking for a used Compadre for my grandson, but after learning that the warranty only applies to the original purchaser, I decided that a new one at $152 (includes shipping) is probably the better deal.

I don't think you will be disapointed, unbelievebly light and not only that this thing is noted for picking up tiny gold stuff the bigger ones leave behind just bare in mind this is no toy you will be suprised what you will find with it!

Roadrunner,

I recently did the same thing. Picked one up for the Gran's to share when they at my place.

I am shopping for another one, great lightweight tool for all day use and finds everything my Eldorado would!

Unless Tesoro has had a major policy change, and I don't think so, your info on the warrantee is erroneous. I promise that if you check this and any other Forum dealing with metal detectors and read the posts about Tesoro Warrantee and Service results that you will find that Tesoro beats them all out by far in warrantee and Service, And it all begins with mostly free service on all Tesoros Past and Present whether the machine belongs to the original purchaser or the 20 th purchaser. If it has Tesoro on it they fix it and and ship it back to you frieght paid.Mods. may more than likely warrant a different policy, but Tesoro beats them all by far, and then some! This I can say personally after over 20 years dealing with Tesoro.
