You proved a good point Calabash. Relying on those VDI,number, or icons or audio, is not an accurate way of always defining good targets in the dirt. Experience, on your metal detector RULES. When you can tell the metal detector (not what it tells you) what is under the coil, with good probability then you have mastered your detector.
 
my garden is tough on vdis due to emi and trash (can slaw)
