I just bought a new Bounty Hunter Gold Digger detector.I am totally new to this.Would like to find any books or magazines about metal detecting.if you have any please let me know.

You'll find 'em on the auction site and sometimes here in the classified section. Shipping can be as much as the cost of the mags, but if it works out to a buck or so per magazine, it's a good deal. Books quickly lag behind current detectors, but the concepts of how and where to search are the same as ever.

Give the below web site a try. Is very informative. This Finds Treasure site will not allow me to paste the actual web address here so try this below in the normal fashion and you should be able to find it. I think you will be quite impressed with the theory and tips.

What about Western and Eastern Treasure Magazine are the not selling this anymore at local newsstand's? It was a monthly publication and had lots of info and tips on Metal Detecting as well as tons of ads from various manufacturers. Then their was Treasure Search or Treasure Found, Treasure Magazine, many magazines from 70's to 90's find some available maybe on eBay. Also Detector Dealers can get you various books on the metal detecting subject many books sold by Garrett,Whites etc. Google some of these I think you may still find WET magazine as mentioned above.Happy Searching
