hit the surflane at 11:am............see a new fellow heading north
then i run into tony of tidewater, big scoop rich, professor mike, jason & robby (sons or norm), new mike and new norm - they are brothers
at this meeting only big scoop rich had found any gold, he found a nice gold ring, BUT THE COOLEST THING HE FOUND WAS THE TOE TAG I FOUND IN MARCH, he threw it back...........:) <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> but the day was young..............no more reports
kinda windy at 11am and kinda chilly, by 2PM, the beach was filling
all i could snag was a toe ring, canadian penny and russian whatsit coin.

Is that you with the Excalibur mounted on your back and the WOT coil with the long handle? This is quite a set up. The WOT coil looks like it covers a lot of area (vs. what I have, an 8 inch coil on my Excal 800). How deep can a quarter-sized object be detected with this setup. What about small rings? I have found quarters at a max depth of 12 or maybe slightly more inches.
