I saw a small, older house being rennovated last weekend and got permission from the owner to check out the grounds. The area was small but turns out the house used to be a small school from late 1800's. I can tell the ground has been messed with over the years, but I was hoping to find something old. Well, no luck on the old but I did find some silver. Lots of trash and bottle caps so I'll try to get back with my 6" coil. The house next door used to be a church so I'm trying to get permission from them.
Take a look at what somebody did to a 1945 Washington quarter ! Also found a 1943 Washington, a 1946 Rosie and some wheaties.
Well, my buddy and I have a couple spots to hit this weekend - I hope the predicted rain ends early on Saturday. One of the spots is an old farm where he found a George III half penny the other week.

I've seen a good number of coin rings found, but none that were still in the design phase. That's really cool! :beers:

Looks like a productive site. Good luck on your other spots too, Bruce!!

I agree with the Capt, it looks like someone was in the process of making a coin Ring. but any way congrats on finding the silver

I've come across this before also. it was an old home site in Mi. and i found 3 Quarters in similar condition also a walking liberty half that someone ruined. was about 6 years ago.

Nice finds.:clapping: Too bad the guy didn't finish that coin ring for you. I have only found one coin ring that was made out of a 1918 Canadian coin. Hard to make with all that pounding with a spoon and even harder to find one. HH.
