Woke up this morning to a big ruckus, crows & blue jays going nuts, knew it had to be a hawk. Looks like a red tail to me. They like the big fat doves that visit my bird feeders. I took the eagle pictures at Taylorsville lake in Ky last weekend, they look like crap, washed out, out of focus. I couldn't focus because when I looked thru the view finder I couldn't even see him.Couldn't change to auto cause
I couldn't even read the menu in the bright sunlight. I hate that menu crap, with my old cannon ae1 I could easily set my f stop, shutter speed, & I had split imaging focus.

[attachment 101164 BIRD-amp-PIXELS.jpg] Yup, it's a bird anyway, and I see some pixels. If there is any one thing I have learned about cameras in the last 74 years, its that they really go nuts over light. If they don't get light, they get all balky and stubborn. So mainly, I try to get around on the sunny side of stuff first. Sometimes it helps. Keep after 'em. :clapping:

Yep, you can see it a whole lot better like that, I have to learn how to use photo shop. Looked out the window a little while ago & there are dove feathers all around the bird feeder, I knew i would miss
it.
