Last week Cousin Earl visited us here in Jacksonville, FL and I found this diamond ring at waters edge. My first diamond ring and the wife loved it!!!
The other cluster photos are rings that I have found in the past 4 months which is the extent of my metal detecting career. The one picture of the 3 rings is a white gold 14K men's ring found at the beach, a 10K Ladies ring found in a field and a 927 "chunky" silver ring found at a local park. At least my MXT is paid for... Thanks for looking ... We need more wave action here, EasySwing

What a beauty! I'm sure your wife does love it. Great jewelry finds and thanks for sharing. You'll be getting your money back from that MXT over and over again. I love it! HH, Nancy

Really nice diamond ring. WOW !! Its a beauty!  Wondering what was the VDI ??? CCH

The ring came up in c/j mode as foil/ring. I think the vdi was about 8 or 15, but not sure. I had the gain cranked to max and the signal hit me pretty hard.
I walked without a signal for about 1/4 mile so when the signal came up I just dug it at about 6".

Side note:

Yesterday, a woman was in the water and handed her husband (to be) the engagement ring. She dropped it and could not recover the ring at the time. They hired a metal detector guy from Sanford, Fl to come up and try to get the ring. Ring was around $4k and the wedding set in about one month. Needless to say she was crying and depressed. I was on the beach and tried to help Mike (the hired guy ) to find the ring but it was high tide. No luck using his Tesero ?? and DFX. He planned on checking a low tide today early on Wed morning at about 2:00 AM and was planning on going home in the morning. The reward was $500 plus expenses. I told him to call me if he hit the ring as I was planning on searching for the ring today at 2:45. (had the 12" super coil on and polished the lcd up in anticipation of a good hunt.) Mike called voice mailed me this morning that he hit the ring about 2:00AM with the DFT. I was glad that he found the ring for the couple and a great story. I have to admit that I was pretty pumped to get out there again to find that ring. This hobby is addictive!!.

you folks on the east coast are very lucky. you get hurricanes all the time. we here in the northwest haven't had a hurricane since oct.1962. ya can never find one when you need it.

Yes,

As long as the hurricane does not wack us too hard causing damage.
We just want good surf for the surfers and a rough surf to toss up the goodies closer to the beach,
