I have posted a lot about Brian, but feel I sometimes neglect Sarah, (15). She has been gone for a week to Project Grad, a two week course held at the University of TN. She graduated today and recieved a $4000 scholarship. They got to experience college courses and college life, actually staying in a dorm from Sunday evening through this evening. I really missed her a lot and couldn't wait until the ceremony was over so I could see her smile and get a big hug!! We got a surprise! After the guest speaker finished he announced that one of the students had written a poem about her experience at Project Grad, and you guessed it, he called Sarah's name! Well, that spunky little girl of mine marched right up on stage in front of a packed house and read the poem she had written Thursday evening. Man, I wish you could have heard the applause!! I was so busy taking pictures and video I can't recall what she read. She said they wanted to put her poem on the Project Grad web site, so when and if they do I'll share the web site with you.

Now for the pics. The first is Sarah reading her poem and the second is seeing her brother walk for the first time in about 5 weeks without a walker.

Thanks for looking, and God Bless!!

Doug

I told you that you were a great Dad. I know you must be very proud. I could almost hear the buttons popping off your shirt as you posted.

Your'e right about being proud, it brought tears to my eyes watching her walk up to the stage.
