Look closely at those junk jewelry items.

I was putting up some old finds and came across a rusty old earring with a very shiny post and back. I figured what the heck and tested it. Turns out it's 10K gold. .1g. Worth a whopping $1.50. That's rounded. I'm still going to list it as a gold find. My only gold in 2010 thus far. That brown gunk inside is dirt.

That's not bad at all Chris.:wiggle:I've wandered around the wilderness for days swingin' a gold detector to find a(one)gold nugget no bigger than that.
You're absolutely right about checkin' out all that junk. I found a Confederate belt plate(ages ago) that was so cruddy and bent/twisted that I didn't know what it was. I almost trashed it, but a buddy of mine knew what it was and told me. I sold it for some quick cash years ago, but I wish I hadn't. It'd be great to still have it in my collection. It looked alright after it was cleaned up.:shrug:Oh well. Live and learn. Happy Hunting!:)
