Look at my big key

Decided to swing my coil after work today at a carnival field where I found some silver last sunday. After only an hour and a half hunt No silver. I did get A PILE OF CLAD AND A REALLY BIG KEY.

Is that an old hotel key? Maybe you can find the hotel and see if you can use it...if they have the same locks!

Hey, Thats a big key, how deep ?.

I think its a hotel key. Marked 259. Its solid brass and was only about 4 inches deep which was the same depth as a Franklin half dollar I dug there last sunday. Also a silver ring 4 inches deep and a mercury dime about 8 inches down.
