LONG RANGE DETECTOR

New member
Just thinking if anyone has ever tried any of the long range detectors that are out. I found on a sight of a detector that was called the ranger tell examiner, that they claim that will find anything because everything has a freq , they claim that you can find gold from miles away, sounds like a scam, but very interesting, if it works i would think all of us would have one, and we would all have millions. I'm sure someone has had to try it.

SNAKEOIL FROM THE OLD WEST CAN CURE ALL AND LRL CAN FIND ALL.
HOW CAN ONE FIND PAPER MONEY AND TELL $1 from $100
FIND GOLD FROM MILES AWAY.
WITH OHMS LAW I=E/R AND P=E*I,COSMIC RAYS = DADA DA
THE ANTENNA ON MOST OF THE LRL cosmic rays FROM A RADIO ETC.
XL=2*3.14159265358979323*f*l are over 100000000000000cps or hz the RADIO ANTENNA WOULD HAVE A SHORT CIRCUIT.
power = voltage times current.
YOU DO THE MATH. THE POWER WILL BE SO SMALL WE WOULD NEED THE VLDA TO DETECT IT. If some of you don't know what I an taking about.
Don't worry, I don't understand what the lrl sites are telling me.
Get a good metal detector to find the goodies.

It's a scam. And this is the ONE PRIMARY thing I have agains't Kellyco for selling these things to unsuspecting or gullible people.

Go to Google and type in "Long Range Locators" and you will find a couple websites that show in detail how these are made, what's inside, etc. There is no possible way they could work. That's why they have a warning seal on the case to NEVER open it or it will void any warranty, not work again, turn to a pumpkin or something similar.

Put your money into a good detector. ANY detector is better than these.

I think Kellyco sells them cause there is a huge mark up on them. Look on ebay and search for Colorado gold sticks. Someone's buying and it's not me.

Wow! "Colorado Gold Sticks".....I'd never heard of them. Finding gold at 500 yards and twenty feet down sounds pretty good! :surprised: And the unbelievable price...Long Range Locators can go for more than a couple grand, but these things are a mere $49!!!!!

Uh-Oh....the caveat: "Some people can work them, and some people cannot." What? No guarantee?? But with a product this great, who needs one??

In the immortal words of......somebody: "You HAVE to be putting me on!":rofl::crylol:

He must not be able to work his own gold sticks because he bought an electronic pinpointer from me!

there were some that bought "Pet Rocks" a few years back. All it takes is a good sales pitch to sell to some. Not me though, I wasn't born yesterday. Besides I swing a GTI 2500 and a Ace 250. Both have done proved they'll find the goodies.
God Bless

I own 2 Examiners, plus 25 other LRLs. It is definitely a money-making scam. I write reports on LRLs and offer a $25,000 prize for anyone who can successfully demonstrate one in a randomized blind test.

Get two wire clothes hangers, cut and bend them L shaped. Works just as good, and they're free. Dowsing rods can be made from damn near anything.

Years ago had an article exposing them as fakes however.
Saw a fellow detecting a schoold yard and stopped to chat..Seems like he had one of these gadjets with the name removed..To make a long story short he gave me a quick how to do session hid a large gold ring in the area while my back was turned and when I approached it pointed towrd the gold ring..Would I buy one heck no, but I still wonder...

Thought I read some where that snake oil will help grow hair back for baldness or was that bear grease.:heh:

This is an excellent site. Glad to have found it, and, have really enjoyed reading through all the posts.
And here I am, about to make my first post!

The british fellow says he figures there may be half a dozen full-time beepers on his island, that has a history of using metal for over two thousand years, and he's heard of a couple in france...
Well, we got bigger and better, and more of everything here, (just to make the point, and I'm not even gonna bring the Lone Star State or Alaska into this,) ... So we got maybe a thousand folks that detect, full time, here in the US.

That means the rest of us do it for entertainment.
All well and good.
(And I especially liked how everyone helped out that nice gal who's husband needed a bit of phys therapy.)

All the above to say best chance is, we do this for entertainment.

I DO own a Model 301 Electroscope and value it highly.
...As somewhat of a new age curiosity...

It is a fascinating device, and I will guarantee FUN, for anyone who picks it up!

There are buttons, knobs, switches, meters, telescoping antennas (with attachments and enhancements), batteries in hidden compartments, cryptic product literature, videotaped presentations, and literature describing further accessories!

I have so much fun with it, people nearby even seem to enjoy it! They always inquire about it with a smile...

Of course I've got a small flock of metal detectors, and the kids at a park are always entertained by finding pennies and such, but they really get excited when you get the Electroscope out of it's case and make a few serious moves this way, or that!

Imagine the possibilities...

I think it was a phenomena of a better time... (and I can't imagine they market new and improved versions today, but Tom Clancy bought into it, for one.)
Today we get a long story from a nice fellow in an unspoiled park in a private township, who declares it's better than being someplace in a high crime area...

But I'm well impressed with the tales of the new, deeper seeking machines you all talk about, and I might have to sell off my prized Electroscope, so I can go beeping for silver coins with a fancy computer on a stick. That's got to be more fun than loading up my Bounty Hunter RB3 with batteries for an afternoon at the park! It's all for fun, right?

From what I can tell, SOMEONE once paid over two thousand dollars for this Model 301 Electroscope, and even more for the accessories. It sure is a lot of fun, but I don't think I could ask near that much for it...

Anyone out there seriously involved in FUN treasure hunting???

I'd like to get a new beeper.
Rich

If you buy that LRD..................I have some Ocean front Property in Arizona..Cheap..and you can hunt it with your LRD... Sunken ships, lots of Silver, etc.etc..get the picture Sir?..!! Don't do it.
Thank you for reading ..

Rulon, all the posters here are correct in their statements and I agree with them, the LRL's
WILL NOT WORK...FOR 99.9 PERCENT of people who try them.

BUT, and this is a very big BUT, believe it or not, they WILL work for that other small
percentage! The reason why is because a few of us are born with different types of
what can best be described as EXTRA SENSORY PERCEPTION, or ESP. This
oddity gives some folks the ability to "tune in" or "feel" an awareness of something
that others simply cannot. So when this happens, the power to perceive an object,
be it Water, Oil, or Silver & Gold treasures, is NOT the result of the LRL itself, but
the ability of the person's MIND to visibly affect the LRL's movement. It is almost
like an act of FAITH by the operator, or a complete lack of DOUBT that he/she will
fail in their quest. This has been proven in the past, mainly by the finding of Water
by some of these gifted people. And this is how the whole idea gained a following
through the years and caused certain entrepreneurs to capitalize on the idea by
building clever devices to sell to an enthusiastic public, such as those that old
P.T. Barnum won over to his many schemes, as per his own statement; "There's
a SUCKER born every minute!"

For example, years ago I myself tried out a twin rod device by Anderson to which one
could affix a pointer on the end for Gold or Silver. The property was my uncle's home
yard, late at night in Summer, with many mosquitos about. The property was at one
time deeded as part of an old Spanish Land Grant here in S.E. Texas, so we naturally
affixed the Gold pointer, right? The wand was to be held like the twin willow branch of
past fame, laying across the palms with each rod held by the thumbs and forefingers,
firmly but not tightly as with fist closed. Now here's where it gets interesting friends, I
proceeded to walk in a straight path for some 50 feet then a return path parallel to the
other. On my 3rd pass, I and the others(some 5 of us) were completely amazed as the
two wands began to BEND DOWNWARD at a certain spot, pointing so directly that it
was all I could do to hold on to them! My Uncle's friend whom owned the wand began
shouting and jumping up and down that "It's there! There's Gold down there!!" I then
proceeded to back up from the spot and unbelieveably the wand relaxed and raised
back up again! Yes, you guessed it, when I walked forward again, the device once
again began bending down, so strongly that I could barely hold it!

Well, sadly folks, here's the scenario. My Uncle tried it and my cousin too. It actually
worked for my cousin also, though not as strongly. But it wouldn't work at all for my
Uncle. Therefore, he decided that it was a trick being done by me and my cousin, so
he began to ignore the happening. We said but "shouldn't we get a shovel and start
digging? To which he replied, "Hell no, We're not digging up my yard for that BS, it's
prolly just water anyway, the table's real shallow here and I've heard that those things
WILL work for water, but I don't believe that Gold BS!"

So long story short, I returned to work next day, as did the others and time passed,
and the incident was forgotten. The property now belongs to another owner and yep,
all that Spanish Gold is still there, uncovered. Alas.
But my point is that we don't really have all the answers now, do we?
