Long hunt today, little reward but did find a Barber!

Mapper65 and I hit the road and searched a few spots today. There was an old home in a new condo plan that I knew about, fortunately got permission today. We hunted it hard, I had my first wheatie in the first 5 minutes.. we thought we found a honey hole. Two hours later I had 2 wheaties and a 1912 Barber, none of which except for wheatie #1 was easy! We headed off to a local park after that, nothing great.Sorry for the poor cell phone photo, it's not in too bad of shape, some of the detail is still pretty good.

You guys remind me of my brother and me, who have hunted together for over 40 years......if you find one coin in the first few minutes......it's likely to be a looooong day! Glad you hung around to find the silver. Congrats! HH Randy

Love seeing those Barbers!

Heck...anymore I'm happy digging anything older than I am.

I think that's the first site that I've been to in nearly 4 years that I didn't find one coin. When he pulled up that Barber I thought we were in for a really good day. Little did we expect that after 3 hours or so the 3 coins that he found appeared to be the only coins at that location. Who knows, there may still be something else there but we hit it pretty hard with high and medium frequency coils. I did end up finding a nice old employee badge from Pittsburgh Plate Glass so at least I didn't leave empty handed.

WTG...I always think how lucky you guys up north are to be able to dig the old U.S.silver.That Barber is a great find and would make my hunt any day!!!..........7 years MDing,I dug my 5,400 quarter today...only 14 were silver, all Washington's.GL HH
