long hunt in the woods

Hi guys,

We pounded a small area of a forest at the back of an old boy scout camp and didn't end up with much. I did get a 44 wheatie, musket ball and this cool fork. The fork had been flattened out and a hole was drilled at the top. I'm thinking this was done to make a wind chime? What do you guys think? I was able to date the fork back to 1871 by the pattern. The fork has a hallmark and it also reads "Rogers & Bro. A.L." on the back.

one of the boy scouts might of put a hole in it and his spoon then tied them together so that he always had them together when he needed them. kinda like camping silverware that all attach to each other on the spoon if you know what im talking about. just my thoughts seemed like a reasonable thought.
