Well that was a long way to go for a few days detecting.
The field was ploughed for the first time in about 50 years, the farmer was pleased to let me detect.
The only finds were lots of Victorian and George V & VI coppers that were very worn, a top off a 2 gallon Pratts spirit can, a small brass candle stick and an old broken spoon but it was still enjoyable as I could walk home for a cup of tea and charge the battery in my Explorer.
The photo was taken with a fish eye lens with a magnetic contact so I just stick it on the front of my camera, the lens was found on one of the local beaches and is in very good condition.
P.S.
The car is my wifes shopping trolly.
