You know when you run out of air after almost 2 hours that the water is still COLD!!! A tank usually lasts me a bit over 3 hours. BUT this detecting fever has got me wanting to get out and play. So loaded up the truck with my gear and friend Kevin and headed to another lake to see what was missed.

Well the biggest thing I got was another boat anchor. I have over 50 beside my house in a pile along with horse shoes and aluminum propellers. I did pull up a 1926 merc for silver. A quarter, two dimes two nickels and one penny for clad, and a top of a brass ring were my finds. Also a small toy pancake turner.

Water is super clear, no boaters yet. I just wish it was a bit warmer. Ohh well. I am off to a good start for the yearand will be glad when I can stay under for 3 dives in a day.

I am wearing a 5mm suit, 5mm boots and a 3mm hood. The main problem I have is when I stand up water rushes down my suit and its COLDDDDDD!!! LOL Still its GREAT because the weeds haven't grown back yet and I am hitting areas that I have wanted to hit but were not able to because the weeds were so high and thick. I have a few dives planned for the weekend. Lets see what happens then. One lake I am super excited to go to. I don't think its spring fed. I sure am hoping its not like the last two I have tried. Driving 3 hours for a 2 hour dive and finding very little is not what I plan!!

I really hope that lake is not spring fed! Looking forward to hearing what you find!

Man I can't believe you're out there in just a 5mm wet suit. :surprised: It's been a warm spring, but I was out wading the Huron River the other day and I was still a bit chilly. I think I'm going to at least wait until May before I hit the deeper water.
